WHY IS NEOPRENE ECO-FRIENDLY?
WHY CHOOSE NEOPRENE?
All you need in life is a GOOD QUALITY neoprene swimsuit. We have all of that for you !!!
Why neoprene?
First of all, it gives you good support and it doesn’t stretch out after three or four washes. The color of the swimwear will stay the same with/without water since it’s WATERPROOF, UVB proof & chlorine resistant! Since neoprene is a type of rubber, your swimwear will be dry in 5 minutes or less even if it has been soaking for a long time! The swimwear won't leave water marks if you leave the beach without rinsing away the salt.
Your Dammya will also take the shape of your body after one or two uses in the water (preferably hot water). The feeling that you will have on your skin is super soft and comfortable, neoprene will also stick to your skin so you will be able to do SPORTS or JUMP off a cliff without losing your bathing suit! 😭
Isn't this amazing?? 😍
Your swimwear will also have a longer life since neoprene is an anti-microbial fabric! That being said, You can go for a quick swim and leave your swimwear to dry without worrying about mold accumulation !!! 🙏🏼
FINALLY, IT’S ECO FRIENDLY 😱😳!!!

Neoprene Explained
Neoprene is produced by free-radical polymerization of chloroprene. In commercial production, this polymer is prepared by free radical emulsion polymerization. Polymerization is initiated using potassium persulphate. Bifunctional nucleophiles, metal oxides (e.g. zinc oxide), and thioureas are used to cross-link individual polymer strands.
Neoprene was the world’s first fully commercial synthetic elastomer and was introduced by DuPont in 1931. The term neoprene is now generic but was originally the trade name from DuPont’s chemical name Polychloroprene. Neoprene was originally used as an oil resistant replacement for natural rubber.
Basic characteristics of Neoprene
Neoprene Polychloroprene is a multipurpose elastomer that has a balanced combination of properties. These are the inherent characteristics of neoprene.
- Performs well in contact with oils and many chemicals.
- Resists degradation from Ozone, Sun, and weather.
- Displays outstanding physical toughness.
- Is more resistant to burning than many other types of rubber.
- Remains useful over a wide temperature range.
Neoprene is a particularly versatile elastomer however to maximize its inherent attributes the proper compounding must be done for the intended application. The following are some of the outstanding characteristics of the neoprene polymer when properly compounded.
- Tear resistance
- Vibration dampening
- Water resistance
- Weather resistance
- Compression set resistance, stress relaxation, compression recovery
- Chemical resistance
- Flame resistance
- Heat resistance
- High resilience
- Low gas permeability
- Ozone resistance
- Water resistance
- Weather resistance
Some typical “neoprene sponge rubber sheet” product applications.
- Skin diving wetsuits.
- Water sportswear.
- Nylon laminated for all sorts of consumer items.
- Industrial gaskets to seal water, air, dust, and other environmental items.
- Automotive gaskets.
- Athletic equipment.
The limestone process is considered to be more environmentally friendly.
The key ingredient in neoprene is carbon. Carbon is traditionally extracted from petroleum. This is a hazardous and ecologically dangerous source. In recent years a new, safer source of carbon has been developed. Limestone can now be used as a source for the carbon used to make a more eco-friendly neoprene. Processing limestone for its carbon produces a product that is better in many ways to that made from petroleum. The cellular structure of petroleum neoprene is filled with microcells with a varying wall thickness in nearly random patterns. Limestone neoprene has uniform microcells in a consistent pattern. This allows the newer material to withstand stretching and flexing over a much longer period of time. It also significantly increases the materials ability to withstand water and increase its insulating abilities.
The increased insulation and water resistant properties allow for less of the neoprene to be used in making something like wetsuits. Thinner layers can be combined with other materials to make a suit that exceeds the capabilities of a traditional suit. These factors allow the more eco-friendly neoprene to last longer than its traditional counterpart. This extended life has the additional benefit of products made from this material getting more use before taking up space in a landfill.
Neoprene has a 90 years track record of proven performance. When a rubber as tough as natural rubber is required with resistance to a variety of ingredients that natural rubber does not have, neoprene is a likely place to look.
